IT'S ESSENTIAL TO EQUIP OUR COMMUNITY WITH AED'S TO SAVE LIVES!

Daphne Bechara, President of Fundación Bechara, explains that one of the main objectives of the Quico Bechara Project is to create awareness of the existing law in Puerto Rico which requires that public establishments are equipped with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).  This law intends to increase the number of AEDs in the area to be utilized by bystanders and good Samaritans in the case of a cardiac emergency in order to reduce death due to cardiac arrest in Puerto Rico.
OBJECTIVE
The Quico Bechara Project intends to help equip communities in Puerto Rico and the United States
by increasing public access and availability of AED's (Automatic External Defibrillators) in an effort to provide a lifesaving opportunity during a cardiac arrest emergency. We are committed to help educate our community about the importance AED’s have as a link in the chain of survival and to empower citizens by  providing  the necessary support for the establishment of public access defibrillation programs (PAD).
