ARE YOU READY FOR A SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST EMERGENCY?
  •  Sudden Cardiac Arrest has no warning signs
Immediate access to an AED is crucial for saving lives.
  • We believe in the importance of CPR training and making sure schools have AED's readily available.  According to the American Heart Association's latest figures, 7,037 children die from cardiac arrest each year.
  • We believe every Police Patrol vehicle should be equipped with an AED. Police officers are usually first responders to arrive at a scene.
  • We believe every citizen should have basic knowledge of CPR and AED use to be able to be a good Samaritan in case of an emergency.
  • National CPR-AED Awareness Week 6/1-6/7- Jun 1 -2021 to Jun 7 2021
  • An effective AED Management Program can increase legal compliance and make sure AEDs are placed in the right locations where people work or gather.
  • We encourage as many people as possible to get certified and learn the skills to confidently respond during a cardiac emergency. These skills are learned during a basic  CPR & AED course. It is our hope that you never have to use these skills, but we are certain that unless quick action is taken during a cardiac emergency the victim is not likely to survive.
  • Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can happen to anyone without warning. Every minute counts! Knowing and executing the chain of survival can help save a life.
  • According to OSHA 13% of workplace fatalities are a result of SCA.
PAD PROGRAM
  •  The AED is your property.  Register your AED under your company's name with the manufacturer.
  • We will provide basic CPR/AED training without certification or we can coordinate a certification course.
  • We will help you develop an emergency plan for your facility.
  • We will help you determine the best placement for the AED in your facility and make sure that there is one employee assigned to ensure all parts of the device ( pads, batteries, etc.) are up to date and ready to use incase of an emergency.
  • We will help you determine the people who will be in charge of retrieving the AED in case of an emergency.
  • If the victim has to go on an ambulance we suggest someone from the office goes to the hospital to retrieve the AED.
RULE OF THUMB
  • Pads have a shelf lifespan of approximately 2 years
  • Batteries for Automated defibrillator devices have a life span of approximately 4 years.
  • Most AEDs have a life span between 7-10 years.  As a courtesy, Fundación Bechara will send a reminder by email 6 months to a year notifying that your batteries and your AED is about to expire.
